I'm now on Chrome Version 91.0.4472.77 (Official Build) 64 Bit. Previously I was able to disable the annoying Tab Hover Cards. Not anymore.

UPDATE: Starting in Google Chrome v91, you can no longer disable tab hover cards. The #tab-hover-cards flag has been removed, and you can only only modify #tab-hover-card-images. A demonstration of tab hover card images can be seen on dev.to

https://superuser.com/questions/1495406/disable-tab-hover-card-in-google-chrome

The option to disable is shown but it does nothing even after a restart. Unwanted clutter.

Hover Cards are the annoying info boxes that appear below the tab as you float your mouse over the tabs. Obviously I'm not the only one confused. Some comments below from the link above.

I wonder why they removed the flag. I find the hover cards very annoying. – Tom Berghuis yesterday

They sure are not only annoying, but completely ignore the selected theme. Why this is a default is beyond science. – TheMechanic

I've a mind to give Opera a go.
