May 29, 20214 yr Time for a stats update. I keep careful daily track from several sources. Here’s the new pandemic, starting March 22 (B.117 is not just a third wave. It’s a whole new ballgame as should be obvious from these big numbers.) Note these figures do NOT include the first wave, March 17 to June 2020. Thailand eradicated Covid until greed & corruption exposed us to the second wave, centred in Samut Sakhon December 14, 2020 to March 21, 2021. At least 145,540 Covid+ May 29) + 14,138 in prisons uncounted (May 26). Total: 938 deaths May 29 (1 doc, Mahasarakam, 3 prisoners (April 9) On April 28, we rated #50 on the world Covid scale. If anybody knows where to find today’s ranking, be much appreciated. To put this in perspective, here are the figures for Bangkok: - Bangkok 2nd wave starting December 14 - March 21 2,168 - Bangkok 3rd wave, B117 new pandemic, starting March 22 40,746 May 29 (highest day 1,843 May 17 76% of total in Thailand) 5.17% + May 17: 28 clusters in 19 districts (May 28) In prisons, 22,102 Covid+ prisoners and 8 deaths. No reports of infected staff yet. These folks should be housed in the prisons to avoid carrying Covid to their families & communities. Better, let all nonviolent prisoners free into 14-day quarantine, then home. The junta has let us all down badly. They were too busy feeding at the trough & feathering their nests. At least we haven’t imported the Brasilian variant yet. I hear all your hair falls out… (At least the ones you haven't already torn out hearing from those clowns in khaki.)
