Yes, but at the time there was no statement of what may happen.

So the info on what other countries are doing was most relevant.
and the relevance has been shown in the UK statements later last night.
 

Fully vaccinated UK residents arriving in England from amber travel list destinations will no longer have to quarantine from 19 July. But "Only vaccines given by the NHS will count".
As I noted, all the other signs were that the there would be restrictions on what vaccines will be accepted.

However the UK statement is also "UK residents" so that is more restrictive.
Its possible that Non-resident expats may be excluded from the relaxation.
