Health officials, in Thailand’s northeastern province of Buriram, have filed charges against a man, who recently returned to his home in the province from Bangkok and refused to report to the authorities as legally required.

According to the health chief of Muang district today (Thursday), the 41-year-old man defied the provincial mandate requiring all arrivals from maximum controlled areas, including Bangkok, to report to health officials and undergo COVID-19 testing and local quarantine.

If found guilty, he will be liable to ten days in prison and/or a fine of 5,000 baht.

I see the 'welcome home' initiative is going as expected ????

10 days in prison will surely get him covid.   I would think the risk of going to prison carries more umph now.

As far as penalties for not getting the jab.   I think there should be a point where anti vaxers must agree to pay out of pocket for any covid related health care plus they should be open to civil lawsuits if they feel ill but still go out in public and infect others.

So what was his reason for not reporting?

Hes Thai and Laws are for other people - not me.

Did I miss something?

Where in the article did it mention anything about the person having had the jab or not?
