Thai man with kidney disease dies a day after vaccine jab in Udon Thani

A 64-year old man, who suffered from kidney disease, died one day after he received his AstraZeneca vaccine jab and his daughter thinks that his death might be linked to the vaccination.

 

A joint team of police, health officials and rescue workers in Thailand’s northeastern province of Udon Thani was rushed to the house of Mr. Akkradet Thongkham on Saturday, after the police were alerted to his sudden death by his daughter, Ms. Wanthanee.

 

Ms. Wanthanee reportedly told the police that Akkradet had just finished his lunch on Saturday when he suddenly developed breathing difficulties and passed out, adding that she tried cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the victim, but to no avail.

Kidney disease + 64 + vaccine = death   related no rocket science here 400,000 if he showed no signs was in no danger of infection due to contact the question to me is why?

Sad that anyone passes away in an unexpected manner, maybe his condition along with medication topped up by vaccine didn't mix too well.

It's unfortunate cases like this that are discouraging Thais from taking up the offer of free vaccination. It doesn't matter whether a link be proved or not, the association has been established and it's very difficult to overcome.

 

I live in a village of some 500 inhabitants and I'd guess at least half of them are in the vulnerable group. So far only one person in the village has had their first jab. Me! The rest, I am told are 'too scared!'

I have a medical problem and consulted the doctor a couple times about getting a vaccine. No problem I have been told twice. Did this man ask his doctor, probably not, did he tell others that he had this problem, probably not. Even if you are registered with one hospital do you think all the different doctors know your history even it is in the file in front of them, no they don't know if you don't tell them. With some of them handling 60+ patients in 6 hours they don't have the time for that.
