Just wondering what my options are if I quit my job this month.

I have a Non B visa and work permit. If I quit my job, can I just take the termination letter from the school to immigration and request a covid extension?

From what I've been reading, covid extensions seem to be a sure thing at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

To state the obvious, the Covid extension will give you 60 days. Make sure you have a good plan for what you will do at the end of that period. I do not think it is certain that Covid extensions will continue to be pretty much automatic much longer.

You could apply for a 60 day covid 19 extension after your current extension is canceled.

Thanks. Do you know which documents are needed?

I'm guessing that I can apply at Chaeng Watthana.

I think they expect you to be impacted by covid and can't return home more than use the extension because you've quit your job.you do have to give a reason on the paperwork why you can't return home

Thanks. Great news. I was expecting they would give me only 30 days.

Switching back from Covid extension to Non B at the end of 60 days should be straight forward, right?

If you choose the right employer, and you have plenty of time (I would say at least a month to sort out the new work permit) there should not be a problem switching back to an extension based on working. If you will be working for a company without an established track record of sorting out work permits for its staff, you could be in for a nerve wracking ride.
