New COVID-19 infections could surge to 10,000 a day next week, almost doubling this week’s daily figures as more Delta variant cases have been found, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

PHUKET: Despite foreigners in Phuket reporting varied success in being vaccinated through the ongoing government mass-vaccination campaign, Pracha Asawateera, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) Area Manager for all of Southern Thailand, has assured that the vaccination of foreigners in Phuket is still going and will continue as long as vaccine doses continue to be supplied to the province.

Thailand has recorded the first case of COVID-19 among foreign tourists entering the kingdom through the resort island of Phuket under the “Phuket Sandbox” scheme, which has been welcoming fully vaccinated and COVID-negative international arrivals without entering a quarantine since July 1st.

Pattaya – A Nigerian national and a Thai female national, 23, were arrested in the Pattaya area yesterday, July 6th, after allegedly jointly committing an online romance scam in Thailand.

Daily News reported that two groups called Phraphol and Dek Pak Jaew had gone to the ministry of public health to demand children be vaccinated. The media called them a "mob".

Californian surfers rescued in Prachuap Bay after being blown 1km out to sea

More airlines confirm flights to Phuket

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's health ministry said on Thursday it had proposed new travel curbs and tighter restrictions in high-risk areas to contain COVID-19 cases, as the country reported a daily record of 75 deaths from the coronavirus.
