Suspected intoxicated Korean driver crashes his pickup truck into Si Racha power pole

Si Racha – A Korean driver, who is suspected by Nong Kham police of having been intoxicated, slammed his pickup truck into a power pole in Si Racha over the past weekend.

Free Rapid Antigen Tests begin today as more facilities open in Bangkok, suburbs

Free Rapid Antigen tests began today (Monday) at three new facilities in Bangkok, jointly operated by the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention and the Faculty of Medical Technology of Mahidol University, with the fourth to be opened Wednesday. They will have a combined capacity to test 10,000-12,000 people a day.

Thailand to combine Sinovac, AstraZeneca vaccine doses to boost protection - minister

Thailand receives 1.05 million doses of AstraZeneca donated by Japan

Thailand received 1.05 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday, donated by the Japanese government, amid difficulties in local production of the vaccine by the Thai firm Siam Bioscience, which is now expected to deliver about half of the scheduled amount over the coming months.

COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests to be available for purchase next week

Thailand’s National Communicable Disease Committee (NCDC) is expected to allow people to purchase Rapid Antigen Test kits (ATK), to self-test for COVID-19 at home. They are expected to be available from pharmacies next week, according to the Public Health Ministry today (Monday).

Various agencies sending out teams to conduct COVID-19 tests

BANGKOK (NNT) - With people getting in line for COVID-19 testing in many areas of Bangkok, the National Health Security Office (NHSO), the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention, and Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medical Technology are sending out teams to carry out proactive testing in different areas, with a target of testing 10,000 to 12,000 people a day. The teams are conducting rapid antigen tests, which give results in less than 30 minutes.

Community Clinics Will Treat COVID-19 Patients Needing Beds in Greater Bangkok

Thailand - Thailand casts wide net for 5G partners amid Huawei concerns

Ericsson, Finland's Nokia, and South Korea's Samsung as well as some Huawei devices, Huawei has made no comments about why the Thai government has not given a 5G network to it despite the reasonable costs. Economic analysts pointed out that Thailand cannot completely avoid Huawei from sharing 5G, noting that the government is taking a more balanced approach by allowing other telecom companies, especially European competitors, to participate in the 5G technology.

200 mobile teams actively screening communities in Bangkok for COVID-19

As COVID-19 infections continue to rise steadily in Bangkok, as many as 200 rapid response mobile teams have been formed to conduct active screening of communities, in a bid to identify and separate asymptomatic carriers from others to contain the pandemic, according to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

Thai construction workers infected by hybrid of Delta and Alpha variants

A construction worker was found to be simultaneously infected by both the Alpha and Delta COVID-19 variants, while six others were infected with a hybrid strain of the two, according to Director-General of the Medical Sciences Department Dr. Supakit Sirilak today (Monday).
