From this study, it appears the stronger of two variants can win out inside a patient. A woman was infected by SARS2 clade 20A from her mother then clade 20B from another source. The stronger 20B clade eventually took all. "The 20A lineage was absolute at the diagnosis (shared with the patient's mother), but nine days later, the 20B lineage had 3% frequency, and two months later, the 20B lineage had 100% frequency" Dynamics of a Dual SARS-CoV-2 Lineage Co-Infection Edited July 15, 2021 by rabas 1

Popular Post anchadian
Dispiriting setback: COVID deaths, cases rise again globally (AP) – COVID-19 deaths and cases are on the rise again globally in a dispiriting setback that is triggering another round of restrictions and dampening hopes for a return to normal life. The World Health Organization reported Wednesday that deaths climbed last week after nine straight weeks of decline. It recorded more than 55,000 lives lost, a 3% increase from the week before. Cases rose 10% last week to nearly 3 million, with the highest numbers recorded in Brazil, India, Indonesia and Britain, WHO said. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/dispiriting-setback-covid-deaths-cases-rise-again-globally/ Edited July 15, 2021 by anchadian 1

Obviously not written by a scientist. I looked up the author to find he is a Thai Media commentator focused on politics. His twitter self description reads "Updates, gossips, rants about Thailand's news in particular." He claims to understand evolution. Then he suggests just one 'best' vaccine, completely ignoring that evolution's success is based on exploring all possibilities. If he is Thai, I would have thought he would realize that putting all your eggs in one vaccine basket, sometimes doesn’t work out well.

This I would say is a direct correlation to testing. Watched a news story today about growing concerns in Myanmar. 7000 infections and 100+ deaths. Comment was numbers are certainly much higher due to very low testing numbers. Again if Thailand was testing even adequately testing numbers would be released to show how good they are. The fact that testing numbers are not released can only mean that numbers are less than adequate. I would postulate very much less than adequate hence as everyone knows numbers here are way higher. I believe they are stalling the 10,000 positives number. This would be a very bad psychological barrier to be crossed, and the Authorities dont want to go there for many reasons. Not least public opinion. With the Infection rate being now in the 9 K region for several Days, the thinking may be to stall, and await the Home test and Isolate plan, whereby the published numbers will then reduce

I’ll give you an example: if a patient’s doctor directs them to go to the hospital, there is a good chance that the doctor doesn’t have admitting privileges at a hospital with beds available. There isn’t a good system for the doctor to get the patient into another hospital, especially if available beds are in a hospital far away. So, the patient has to wait. Have you think maybe someone else need hospital treatment not only covid patient! If every hospital bed is even close full from covid patient's where they put other people who need treatment . They not build hospitals whit thought "hmm 2020 start pandemic need add capasity for those coming patient's"!
