Well since I live outside BKK and things change by the hour in LoS, that was the end of that. I did not proceed. 11 August was the earliest date offered. I understand the issue of not living in Bangkok but if you could get there why would the non transferable part of it be a problem?

Makes no sense. I agree it is great news. But after the other offers being so incredibly limited and difficult to book, it's SUPRISING that Medpark is so easy to book. However the fact Intervac STILL is not doing anything outside of Bangkok is STILL worthy of very legitimate criticism.

Ok... so you don’t really want the vaccine then do you..... MedPark have been very reliable - so far not one negative story from there with either bookings or actually receiving the vaccine.

I had the same problem, but once I reduced the zoom from 100% to 90% it worked. Hope this helps. Tick all the other boxes, except the last one, unless you want MedPark marketing blurb. That sounds like the most credible description of the situation. On the intervac page it says that both AstraZenica and Sinovac are currently available and on the MedPark page they don't mention brand at all. Not great because pretty much everyone prefers AstraZenica to Sinovac.

There was also a huge crowd waiting for a Sinopharm vaccine which they are doing for various companies. Medpark seem to be doing their best - and that's from someone who has actually experienced their vaccine arrangement. On the other hand... I work for a company subcontract for PTT... who had a great fanfare about arranging Sinopharm jabs for PTT and their subcontractors - they requested for names and where their location is (this was my backup if Medpark fell through) - they were going to arrange for those in Songkhla/Hat Yai and Bangkok area... that lasted a day at best when it actually came to giving a vaccine. Usual fiasco. Suncontractor firms were 'off the record' advised to tell their people to do whatever they can for themselves.... this is the Covid-19 vaccine plan in reality in Thailand. You or anyone else is far, far better having a booking fo Astra Zeneca at Medpark than some finger in the air & hope booking for Pfizer/Moderna from whoever just in case some muppet in government doesn't get in the way again... and by the way I also have registered for a Moderna booster from Bangkok General ???? just in case the idiots don't <deleted> it up again... I figure even in the worst case scenario, I'll take first SINO if that's what they have in stock and then seek out a Modern as my second. Better than nothing at least as far as morbidity protection and preventing serious case.

Could't agree more. If you don't want to book then let a Thai National have a vaccine. Have you seen the situation that many people live in normally and in the current situation within a few km of Medpark? Most of you probably not. Probably many people that I refer to have not had a vaccine or even a chance. I have had a vaccine at Medpark, my wife has had two doses (first time walk in, as I could have done), several friends and people we know have had vaccine at Medpark. About 10 times I have been there including to help others. The organisation and service that I have experienced and seen is excellent. Often I pass the entrance where people queue and it is nothing like photos of other locations, which seem crowded, that are posted on social media.

ThaiPauly
I booked a slot yesterday for August 15th. I could have scheduled it a couple of days earlier than that but I am driving down from Chiang Mai to receive it. I have decided to take this action as it could be a very long time before vaccines become available to me up here. I have paid for Mordena at a private hospital here, as many have, but there is talk of this now not arriving till next year. I know it's a risk, but I have discussed it with my son who lives in Bangkok and we have concluded that providing we take good care of ourselves, (taking food and water and trying to stop as infrequently as possible), we should be OK. My appointment is for 2.30pm, and so my intention is to leave home at 6am and drive directly to the hospital. I planned it for a Sunday so the traffic will be lighter. I believe that travelling by car is safer than flying (with regard to the amount of people we will come into contact with) and who knows that there will be flights available that day? Even after we booked them? We will be in our own little "Travel bubble" so baring breakdowns or accidents we should be fine. I will get the car serviced before we go, even though she doesn't really need one. I will then stay at my son's house until I know how the side effects affect me, my daughter-in-law did not fully recover for 36 hours, so as I am not a very healthy person,(over 65 with underlying health conditions)...as the saying goes these days, I had better not take any chances, but cover every eventuality. I called the hospital to check the brand...AZ. Very friendly staff I will call again the day before I intend to travel to ensure they still have stock, and that its the right vaccine. The hospital points out that by signing up for this I am waivering my rights for the free vaccination that I signed up for in CM...this is now IT. I too was surprised by the very low uptake of these appointments. I first looked at booking 3 hours before I did book it, but only about 6 slots were reserved in that time.
