Does anyone know for certain whether the COVID-19 insurance policies required by Thai Embassies for re-entry to Thailand have a LIMIT or REQUIREMENT on the amount of DEDUCTIBLE of the policy (I already know about the US$100,000-110,000 COVERAGE requirement).

You can GET that coverage at vastly different prices, depending on the out-of-pocket deductible. Would an Embassy require, for example, a "Zero Deductible" policy, or permit a "$1,000 deductible" policy?

Yes, I asked the Royal Thai Embassy in Los Angeles, and also wrote to Thai Immigration here. Neither responds, either by phone or email.

Thanks.

I don't think a deductible for the covid 19 insurance would allow for a deductible. Also not sure any company that that meets the requirement would offer a deducatable.

Depended upon how long your permit to stay you get when you enter the country it may not be that expensive.

Have you look at this site for it. https://www.tipinsure.com/CovidRegional/product_detail

One year of coverage is 23,040 baht if traveling from the US.

I will check the site, thanks. There are many companies offering the required insurance with both low and high deductibles. My permits are annual, and it would be 11 months left when I re-entered, so basically, the only thing you can buy is 1-year coverage. The 23k you mention is about the lowest I've found - and that is with a $5,000 US deductible. I'd buy it if I knew for sure it would work. This is the problem, you see - nobody will tell you when you ask them - either the government doesn't know, of they simply decide when you send in the policy. So it's just a <deleted> shoot, far as I can tell.
