Well done .

But now is a good time to think about getting further vaccines for next year when the 20 million jabs have been injected .

Order some more for next year , Now

Wont happen, they'll be hanging out until the last minute to see if their own vaccine actually works, by then sadly it will be far too late for thousands.  It's all about the money honey, very few of the poor villagers that die are Government supporters

20 millions Pfizer = vaccinating 10 million person.

5million of AZ/month = 2,5million person. ( assuming the supply is available)

By  December 2021, it would b realistic to say out that 20million people will be vaccinated.

.Not counting the re-vaccination of people who got the sinovac

I think we need to be realistic to say vaccination of 50% of the population  is a good target  = 35 million people.

More vaccines is needed to reach that goal by 1st quarter 2022.

a good start but a long way to go.

There is still issues::: is it going to be free? are they planning to vaccinate 15yr and up?

This raises an interesting question:  will the 20 million Pfizer vacs arrive prior to the prepaid deposit Moderna?  As of today, they haven’t ordered Moderna.   And if so, can those who prepaid Moderna opt over to Pfizer shots, while giving away or donating Modera?

all valid questions and concerned which is something the Thai agencies or companies that have to pay for vaccines in advance have been waffling over.  They are required to pay up front to order the vaccines, but from a money point of view they would of course be concerned about how to make money on their outlay

Good start...but still a LONG way to go. Here's the "Vax Math"  forThailand:

- 20 million doses of Pfizer = approx.  10 million fully vaccinated. Population of Thailand = 70 million.

- As of 3 days ago, 14,298,596 doses have been administered (per Reuters), which = about 7,000,000 totally or partially vaccinated.

- To achieve 70% of population totally vaccinated = 49,000,000 people totally vaccinated or 98,000,000 doses.

- The Pfizer deal brings the total vaccinated to about 17,000,000 total vaccinated. Leaving a shortfall of about 53,000,000 doses.

- The "wild cards" are how many doses of the Chinese Anti-Freeze C**p vaccine Thailand will get + any Astra Zeneca + any Moderna, etc, etc.  through the 4th quarter of 2021 ???

12 months from now, Thailand should be close to, if not there, to reaching 70% vaccinated.

Place your bets with the Chinese Vax Bookies in Macau...

Nice summary, thank you. I would add about 20% for wastage and lack of product control. The storage will be an issue and some is sure to go missing.

Could be October, also,  but, if it is December it wouldn't be late, it would be on schedule.

It wouldn't be on schedule to the people that get sick and die from Covid 19  in December

You're wrong, it would be on the contracted schedule.

You're assuming that everyone who dies before the distribution of the vaccine in that order will have wanted (and been able to get) that vaccine and that those doses would have prevented those Covid-19 deaths?    You're not really up to speed on how the virus and the vaccinations work, are you?

......  Without revealing the prices .....

Of course, otherwise we could see how much remains in the coffers of the military junta.

So sad to get negative bashers ruining the party.

Thank you K. Prayood for caring about us. You have selflessly dealt with this pandemic, unlike other influential figures.

Like any business, negotiate, order, lead time, delivery...

Q4 is 3 months.  Split shipments every month?  One shipment?  What month?

This is only a partial report.

'Nuff said.

Get back to us when you have the delivery schedule.

Interesting that one party calls it a contract, and the other party calls it an agreement.

They agree to sign a contract soon.

The 4th quarter starts in October. If they signed a purchase agreement and not just a preeemptive document, than a delivery date should be mentioned. Dear Anutin please share this info with us? I'm making travel decisions based on this info.

this is Thailand and the best we can get is  ""with delivery expected in the fourth quarter of this year""  555

So the hi so that pushed to the front of the vaccine queue and have already been vaccinated will miss out? Leaving Pfizer for the poor people languishing at the back?

Oh the irony.

They will still corner Pfizer as a booster!

Well done, finally! ... I just hope it's not too little too late.

To little.  Enough for 10 million people.  There going to have to revaccinate all the people who got Sinovac.

Too late:

According to the article it took 3 months to even sign the contract.

Remember that you need to blame that on Pfizer, not Thailand, Thailand cannot control production of Pfizer products.

Thailand could have "controlled" the official purchase date or contract date which could have been done quite some (long)  time ago

Exactly.  If they had ordered Pfizer in January, they’d have them all now.

Dont order and buy shares in Pfizer and others keep buying shares and then make a big order. That way they make money when shares go up and the public are happy that finally made an order.

Sorry but 15 month to late and not all the people are blindfolded to your tactics

Oddly, right after shelving the submarine order.

I get the feeling a certain unelected government general well known for his lies, is looking over his shoulder, and not before time.
