Visa to the UK

Featured Replies

Hi, my wife has had 2 previous UK visas. I would like to apply for a 10 year visa. Due to the difficulties travelling from Phuket to Bangkok is it possible to submit via mail to the official agency or direct to the embassy or using a private agency?

She can apply and submit her supporting documentation online, but she would need to visit a Visa Application Centre to have her biometric details captured.

The Embassy play no part in the application process, VFS have a very limited appointments at the moment.

Thanks for the reply - I see many apparent visa agents at Trendy (although maybe they’re with clients). I realise we have to apply online but wondered if that if the biometric data is on file it would ok to send an agent. Long shot I know....

No, the biometric details need to be captured by VFS for every application.

The agents don’t have access to your bio data, nor could they submit it on your behalf.

I will check if the UKVI have made any alternative arrangements and get back to you, though I doubt it very much.

Every visa applicant must attend a visa application centre to give biometrics.  One of the points of giving biometrics is to compare them with previously given biometrics, to make sure that it is the same person applying.
