Just had my second shot, this one AZ, at McC today.  Just as efficient as last time.  Asked if I wanted a certificate. Said yes and had it delivered at the same time as the Blood pressure check.  All done in 45 Minutes.

Did not appear to be any walk ins as no queuing in eveidence and everyone seemed to have the little green card with the 3 digit number.

How does the certificate look like? Can you post it with your name blacked out digitally?

Received my second shot at McCormick today.  Astra Zeneca. Process was more efficient than the first and took about an hour. Curious though. There is a sign in the sitting area where you wait for your number to be called. Actually two signs, written in Thai with a few English words. The one on the left is clearly saying something about "Shot 1 Sinovac" and "Shot 2 AZ". The one on the right says "Shot 3" with could be AZ or Phizer. And it uses the words "Booster Shot" This is the first I have heard anything about a third "Booster Shot". Anybody know more about this?

The booster shot is for those who got their vaccines in March which is about six months ago. Not many of us got that. I think it's for Thai people.

I was at McCormick for the AstraZeneca jab today as well. The sign outside, according to my Thai wife, says that the "booster shots" will be administered if the vaccines are available.

Did it say how many months after the second shot do we need booster shot?

I didn't ask her, man I would make a poor reporter.

Never mind, when I go there later this week, I will get a much clearer picture. Incidentally, the vaccination certificate posted has a '3rd dose' row there.

Anybody know if the "walk-ins" at McC from 3 weeks ago were given a follow up appointment for AZ? When I went for my 1st jab it coincided with the first day of "walk-ins" and there was a long queue from the car park as people with appointments were mixed together in the same line.

The whole point of an appointment system is to ensure good separation in time and distance between each "customer".

Totally agree. Why should the person who had an appointment be made to queue together with those who did not have an appointment.

I was made to queue for more than one hour in the long queue due to the walk-in announcement a few weeks back.

There were people screaming and shouting when somebody tried to cut the queue or just trying to ask a simple quick question at the counter.

This goes to show the poor planning by the McCormick hospital staff. I am not against walk-in vaccination but that should be done on separate days from those who had earlier appointments.

This week at McCormick should be for those who got the Sino jab three weeks ago, and were handed an appointment card for the AZ jab to occur exactly three weeks later. I got my Sino on Wednesday the 4th, and my appointment card has me scheduled for the AZ jab on Wednesday the 25th (tomorrow) at 12PM. Hopefully, others who got the Sino jab later in the day than me will have appointment times of 1, 2, and 3PM....... Anyway, shouldn't be any walk-ins, only those with the 4x4 inch appointment cards.

Are they doing the AZ jabs at same location as 3 weeks ago at McC?

This goes to show the lack of manners, caused by a sub standard upbringing or a total disregard thereof - amongst the expat crowd doing the P and M dance.

Sorry I mis-read your post.

Exact same place as last time with the same process.  Ist desk hand in passport and card get the form to tick and sign and get card with number.  Up the steps to the computer window, hand in form and passport get passport and form back.  Round the corner to main hall go to desk handover form and passport, get them back then escorted to seat.  Get jab, asked if you want photo taken and want certificate. wait 30 mins get BP & temp taken get certificate go home.

Given Thailand's reliance on paper copies I do not believe it could not have been more efficiently handled anywhere.

I wonder whether we need to apply for another Covid passport or can we just use this vaccine certificate if we reenter Thailand sometimes in the future?

The purpose would be to avoid quarantine or have a shorter quarantine period.

If current trends continue, it will be around 80 baht - will have to save up !!! 555

I assume that is different to the form I posted yesterday!

What do you need to get the "Passport"?

Please.... Can you explain this?  You will get a vaccine passport at a different hospital than the one that administered your shots? Am I understanding this correctly? If so, can one go to any hospital to get the passport?

What is the status of your vaccination? Did you manage to make an appointment?

Thanks for your concern !  No registration yet: long story.

I got my vaccination today at McCormick.

I asked the staff there, they said you can do a walk-in vaccination if it you are 60 years old and above. If you are about 58-59 years old, I think they are not that strict.  If you are very young, then they prefer that you register at their website first.

https://www.chiangmaihealth.go.th/wallofcm/index.php

Morning session (8 am - noon) For those getting their 1st shot.

Afternoon session (after 1 pm) For those getting their 2nd shot and with appointment.

Therefore, go for the morning session.

There is a long queue right until the carpark today even though most were waiting for their second shot.

I asked the staff there today and she explained that the booster shot is for the medical staff (nurses, doctors etc) and not for the general public.
