PM Confirms Cooperation with US

BANGKOK, Aug 11 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha met Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations, and confirmed Thailand's cooperation with the US.

 

The meeting occurred at Thai Khu Fah Building at 11am as Ms Thomas-Greenfield paid a visit to the country as the guest of the Foreign Ministry.

 

Both exchanged opinions on situations in Myanmar. Gen Prayut who is also the defense minister confirmed that Thailand was ready to cooperate with the international community and the US to work out sustainable solutions in Myanmar and to offer humanitarian assistance to refugees from the neighboring country.

Historically Thailand has stayed independent by playing off country to country (eg French/British in the early part of the 20th century). However under the general's direction, the slant is towards China. Maybe he will screw this up and the CCP is is a coming!

Please use discretion in your references to the government. Phrases which can be considered as anti-coup will be removed. Referring to Thailand or the government as a dictatorship, military dictatorship or other such terms will be removed.

The US shouldn't believe anything this pseudo PM says.

 

The large families here in Thailand are all Thai-Chinese and their allegiance goes towards the CCP first.  The CCP will get its hooks in Thailand and bleed Thailand dry (like in Africa).

 

Think longterm and not just shortterm for the future of Thailand.

Wealthy Thai-Chinese in Thailand come from families who emigrated from China in the 19th century. Many don’t speak any form of Chinese anymore, so their cultural links with China are weak.

They are linked to two things only, power and money.  They will say or do anything to protect these … everything from appeasing a foreign power to bashing in the heads of protesters.  There words are completely without meaning.  Following the money and the actions will tell you all you need to know.
