Restriction Relaxing Predictions

With the 31st of August but three weeks away, what are your predictions for the relaxing of restrictions in your part of the country?

Looking at the numbers nationwide - it doesn't really look great. That coupled with the vaccine rollout.

Would be happy to have 25% dine-in capacity in BKK, but even that looks like a remote possibility in just 18 days time.

not sure, what significant about 31.8.

oldish mathematical simulation pick 14-29.9 with up to 45 daily positives and up to 500 deaths.

Government has ordered covid med favinopavir to the end of this year (some 240mln pills). That's when the expect this wave to last.

Not sure about relaxing. Don't bother with restaurants, because never go there, but massage will do me nice. Strange, that in bkk they are shut, but in neighbouring chonburi are still/already opened

I predict I will relax this afternoon with no restrictions.

As to the question regarding covid restrictions, your guess is as good as mine. And I have no guess and the be honest, little interest. With the borders being c!osed, the wife cannot gamble in Cambodian casinos. So, you see my point...?

Nothing will be relaxed, I really doubt it will have peaked by the end of the month.

If anything they will strengthen restrictions before the end of the month, I've noticed that they like to announce things slightly ahead of time so I would expect some kind of announcement around August 23 to 25th.

What more could they do to strengthen restrictions in Bangkok?

Yes, they like to leak announcements, "priming" the public for bad news.

"The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) will decide on Monday whether some shops in closed shopping centres will be allowed to reopen"

In Big C (Ratchadamri) they have already re-opened the clothes and electronics sections which were closed last week.

What did they do in Wuhan?

It would seem almost incomprehensible that we would be locked in our houses, and not allowed to leave, having food posted through the letter box - or whatever it was.

...Having said that, all of this seemed incomprehensible only 18 months ago.

I don't think there's any chance of that ever happening in Thailand!  Hopefully.

The did that for like 6 weeks in Wuhan. Saw an interview with a foreigner who got caught up in that. Sounded brutal.
