harada
It would be out of the frying pan and into the fire for the Russkies, their Covid cases are running at 20,000 a day also.

But Russia's population is 146 millions, so compared to Thailand's 70 million it's equivalent to half, i.e. 10,000 new cases per day.
Popular Post HaoleBoy
Sputnik is not even approved by WHO yet (as of Jul 7th) yet. The Thai government did the same with Sinovac. ukrules
This Sputnik vaccine sounded very interesting when I read about it due to the way it works. I would however like to see some data on it - this data didn't appear to be available at the time.
Comrade
I guess it will be a reason for some Russians finally to take sputnik. Maybe even a better reason than the drawing of 100,000 rubles among the vaccinated ????

Kaoboi Bebobp
Ask Argentina how it's going with Sputnik V since they started using it heavily well over half a year ago. It desperately wants to finish full vaccination but cannot as it has been waiting for 7 months for Sputnik V second dose to show up, which is a different type from the first dose. The Russian manufacturer is having trouble with quality output. Argentina has been forced to switch vaccines -- Moderna and AstraZeneca -- for second doses. From BBC in late July: Quote In Argentina, an email from one of President Alberto Fernandez's advisers to Russia's RDIF said that as of 7 July, Argentina was still waiting for 5.5 million first doses and 13.1 million second doses of Sputnik V. "At this point the entire contract is at risk of being cancelled," the email obtained by Argentine media said.
