I suspect the measures being employed at Central Festival (which I have seen), and Building D at the BHP are far far better than those in Tree Town Soi Buakhao. Maybe not at The Indoor Stadium! Popular Post Gsxrnz
I could be mistaken, but the first guy climbing on to the police truck appears to be still clutching his can of beer. Popular Post BestB
These were not the brightest bunch . Not only drinking in public in large group but also doing it past curfew hours and all in public view and on Friday night . why Friday is important ? Because they will be locked up in the cels till Monday before they can face the court, 3 nights in stinky hot cell. 6

Popular Post Bangkok Barry
Don't you love the way they're made by the police to sit in the back of a pickup, which is illegal. And I wonder if any just jumped out and did a runner once they got to the police station. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened. 2

nausea
Well, they were asking for it, so no surprise they eventually got it - stupid is as stupid does. On a side note, I get the impression the equivalent of, what in the UK we used to call, pub lock-ins with limited attendance are fairly ubiquitous, with only a few high profile cases being busted; so I guess the less stupid are doing it speakeasy style with minimal risk.

And no, it wasn't just farang's sat on the sidewalk drinking a beer by themselves... Here's a pic taken (Not by me) on 4th August... As an aside, during the 1st Lockdown in Singapore 2 guys "Bumped into each other" whilst coming back from the store to buy beer so decided to enjoy the beers sat on a bench in the park. Police caught them, cancelled their Work Permits & deported them... I know we're not in Singapore but something similar could happen to people here if these kind of things continue to make headline news. Singapore doesn't mess around with scalawags. Cleanest city I've ever been to. Edited August 21, 2021 by MrJ2U

Popular Post michaellee
Serves them right. I was wondering when they were going to get busted. it’s like that every night, those idiots think they are exceptions to the rule drinking openly with the women with no mask on and social distancing, hugging, sitting next to each other. Disgusting group of same idiots every night. Edited August 21, 2021 by michaellee 8 1 1

Regardless of whether one agrees with the regulations or not, why take the chance of getting arrested for the sake of a beer?
