It's cooking the books. What they can't get away from is ICU and intubated. Deaths are running in the mid to high 200's everyday and have moved into the 300's. As harsh as this may sound these deaths free up spots in ICU yet the ICU and intubated numbers continue to hover in a small range. If things are getting better this would not be the case.

Still 140 in the world for deaths per 1m of the population. Seems to be quite constant.

Yep and right now number 6 for new deaths, number 7 for new cases  and number 9 in weekly trends. I wonder which is more relevant. Your tired old chestnut or what is happening now.

Still 130th in the world for infections per 1m of the population.

And now, near the top in terms of daily deaths and cases, your number proves just how fast Thailand's  situation got way out of control. Like they stood in front of a freight train.

Not my number, the one from worldometer, its been very constant.

Phuket Update

126 new community cases and 2 new from sandbox. No new deaths today. Record number of 128 new positive tests found today that are not included in official counts! Very worrying numbers

How many positive ATK tests not counted in the total?.  Looks like numbers are expanding. So much for 70% being vaccinated

Not sure they've only been publishing the rapid tests data recently, its the same situation as Bangkok and the rest of Thailand, the numbers are not counted officially even when positive unless they need care in a real hospital.

Very frustrating here watching the numbers rise and little being done to control them. Rules being changed constantly, going back on previous promises, its never ending.

Last year the swift lockdown in Phuket worked really well and got everything back to normal with just a few short weeks. This time everything including the economy is suffering more and schools of course closed.

Sandbox lives, even if the hospitals get overwhelmed as they've changed the rules there to.

If the positive rapid tests were counted today then the case number would be 126 + 128 = 254

That is reason to be truly concerned in a populace supposedly 70% vaxxed.  Of those positives how many have been double vaccinated would be another question and with what vaccine

Even better proof how fast things went bad here.

A rather stark image is the comparison between Thailand's Delta outbreak and India's, again per 1M, as in the data you posted. Thailand's totals are now further complicated be the introduction of ATK testing, so for now we don't really know the top. You can also see Thalland's nearly flat data for 2020.

So the swamped hospital patients are not so sick that they should be admitted to the nearby ‘unswamped’ Pattaya Hospitals?

You did not read my post correctly. The not so sick patients in swamped Hospitals in a  town near Pattaya are being placed in HospitEls (note spelling) in Pattaya.

Got it?

Almost 3k more recoveries than new cases...has Thailand passed the crest of new infections ????

This would appear to be what they want us to believe.... but how many tests were performed and what percentage of test were positive?
