He was the person who screwed up getting retirement visas using proof of income, deserves every bad thing that happens to him and I hope there’s plenty more to come.

What is so wrong about proving where our money come from ......  :whistling: ?  (however Al Capone did not liked that neither ....???? they jailed him "only on that " (  whatever murders he organized ....)

Same time all of us complain about corruption and brown envelopes....

a bit hypocritical i would say ????

His fall was faster than his rise.

went from captain of tourist police to a general and head of immigration in a matter of 12 months which would normally take at least 20 years

He had that little fat toad DPM as a sponsor though, didn't he!

Tea Money.

I once had to get a set of fingerprints certified by the local BIB for a police report to be issued by the BKK office.  After having the prints done, I asked how much for the service.

The friendly BIB (I think he was a sergeant but I suspect the medals and insignias were those of a rear-admiral) said "No charge, maybe you make donation for coffee for my officers, up to you".  As I was extracting 300B from my wallet (figuring 5 guys in the office at 60B each for a coffee), I said to them "I thought you guys drank tea".

They got the joke instantly. I have never to this day seen 5 Thai guys laugh so much, so hard, and for so long, including slapping of the knees and banging of the feet.

Not quite the way I remember it but I could be wrong. We all remember a couple of embassies were stamping any old claim willy nilly, I had a few friends tell me so. While those using money on deposit had to prove it was here in the country. I remember him as the guy who sorted out Chiangmai immigration which was a right corrupt mess.... and seemed to want to stamp out corruption and backhanders, which was refreshing.

There often wasn't proof, that was the issue..... but water under the bridge.

So, are you implying that all Thais look alike? ????

That would be unfair, they don't all look like demented circus midgets. ????
