Thai nickname ideas

Featured Replies

Hi! I hope this is the right forum to ask for this; my sister is about to have a baby girl and we would really love to give her a Thai nickname as our late mother was Thai. Unfortunately, neither of us have been in touch with the language since young and we can’t think of a good name for her (and we don’t trust the websites with thai baby girl names!). So if you have a name in mind, please reply with its meaning as well! We would really appreciate it.

P.S we would also prefer a name that’s not very common ! my sister’s name is just ‘Jane’ lol but my name is Nhamking, meaning ginger ale, and i think it’s really cute and unique!

My girlfriend's 18 month old grand-daughter is called Baitong - banana leaf. I have not come accross it before.

she’s so cute !! and that is definitely a unique and cute name

Monosyllabic nicknames seem to be in vogue at the moment.

Fon (ฝน); rain
