Travel to Bangkok for Covid19 jab. Is it possible?

I am a Brit, over 60, and live in Meuang Surat, Surat Thani, and I'm on the so called wife visa.

I am 'vaccine damned' it seems.  I haven't heard anything after registering on Expatvac, have sent a back up enquiry so far without reply,  and the stock answer from my local enquiries goes along the lines of 'farang can't do'. The temporary help lines I've called have requested temporary suspension.

I don't have much faith in getting a vaccine any time soon in these parts, so wondered if there is any chance of me traveling to Bkk, for instance, as I hear there is a walk in center at Bang Sue.

Is there a requirement that I should live in BKK? or a qualifying period ? (I don't mind staying there for a month or two.)

What of any other centers?  And is just turning up with a passport enough?

Sorry so many questions.  All sensible answers gratefully received.

One poster here made a round trip from Chiang Mai to get vaccinated so it is possible although I'm not sure what vaccine is currently available and where would be the best place to get it .

But yes , it is possible and no need to be a resident of Bangkok.

I am also over 60 and have not found anything locally. Registered for Moderna next month but if that doesn't happen I might also have to consider a long journey.

In bangkok not possible without booking and unknown waiting time.

Go to pattaya - bangkok hospital pattaya. Just a few days after registration you got booking.  They had pfizer and that's how I have grabbed it (I travelled from bkk).

You can even try walk in in the morning, they might give you a booking for afternoon (some forum member succeeded).

After that you can get some holidays on the beach to get some iodine

Thanks for the replies.

Ok, from what I can gather and my own browsing, it looks like it is possible to get vaccinated in Bangkok or some other place such as Hua Hin, but walk in is a matter of looking out for specific announcements.  And most of the available sites are to be found on the Intervac website. Better to be staying thereabouts.

I wanted Bkk because it seems there are more options, I know the place, and it's better suited for quick dashes to other cities, such as Pattaya, and Hua Hin.

Are trains, inter city buses, etc, running normally as I am dependent on them ?
