Specialist Venereal Diseases

Featured Replies

After taking 1 week antibiotics (norfloxacin and doxycycline) the "non gonococal urethritis" wasn't cured yet.

I will now take for 1 week cefuroxime (Zinnat) and metronidazole, but I am worried because if these antibiotics won't work either, this disease will become chronic.

I would like to know the following :

1) Is there a specialist regarding venereal diseases in Chiangmai (or maybe in Bangkok), or can any well-trained doctor handle venereal diseases ?

2) Has anyone experience with this disease and/or taking antibiotics for this specific disease ?

Non-specific urethritis is not as common as it was 40 years ago since they have more refined lab tests now that define more spcifically the invectious strain. Clamidiya is very, very common and used to be called non-specific. Make sure you don't have that. Some Asian strains are very drug resistent. You are wise to search for specialist.
