Buriram locals get creative highlighting potholes in road

People taking selfies in Thailand - like the world over - comes with the territory.

 

People doing sarcastic gestures to get attention to their cause less so.

 

But the locals in Bukrasang sub-district in Buriram combined the two to make an ironic gesture to get the local authority to do something about a monster hole that appeared in the road on September 19th.

More than a week later and there are just a few cones and a sign to warn the unwary.

 

The local authority told Sanook that people should take care.

It was raining and they couldn't do it yet.

 

They'd get onto it ASAP though.

This might work if only they got rid of the annoying white fence serving as a safety warning.
