Devil/Rape of Nanking. Hayder/Chang Books

I recently read the Mo Hayder's (interesting lady) novel titled "Devil of Nanking." This book seriously cut to the bone for me.

 

I believe Iris Chang also wrote about this 1937 war episode, the "Rape of Nanking".

 

I am not going to give any comment. I wasn't taught about this at school growing up late 70's. It was all hushed up.

 

Iris committed suicide in 2004 and Mo has also passed.

So sad.

Not wanting to start anything.

 

I would just be interested if anyone else in the forum has ever heard of these ladies and what your reactions were to their writings.
