OH …. Has the law changed …. Can you now drink alcohol in Bars before 10:00?

If you read the OP you'll see he was charged with selling alcohol by restaurants after 10.00 PM

This is huge..... Until 10 PM.... they can legally sell booze.

But at 10PM01 the virus suddendly comes back. Watchout !

All those headlines are perfect....

People around the world are baffled... and won't come to Thailand.

if you read the post again its ambiguous, the way it reads is that bars are allowed to sell alcohol but not after 10.

It said bar owner, not restaurateur owner. Semantics but confusing to be fair.

Read the OP, follow the link, that's why it's there. And there you'll see it all is perfectly clear. It involves a bar that is officially a restaurant.

I did, if you read the title in huge lettering it says "BAR OWNER' and the opening line is 'Phuket City Police have arrested a bar owner' thats why its confusing.

I did, nowhere does it state its a bar that's officially a restaurant, in fact nowhere in the article is the word restaurant mentioned.

Tend to agree with you. The whole sandbox thing is a little confusing. Heard some bars in Bangla opened up on their own accord?

Majority of potential tourists does not read Thai local news.

Most of them have no clue regarding what is really going on before landing.

So what don't you understand from this in the link from the OP?

"Specifically, Yuttana was charged for violating Article 4 (2) of the order, which mandates that food or beverage outlets are permitted to sell alcohol and allow drinking on the premises but no later than 10pm."

Apparently if you read the article, all will become clear. At least that is what I was told ????
