Insane amount of Popup Advertisements

I thought this was corrected last year - Oh, it was ThaiVisa last year - this year it is "Asean Now" and the insane popup advertisements are back and driving me and my computer crazy.    They are using a huge amount of computer resources and now rthe forum freezes quite often.............nowhere else I visit does this, only Asean Now Thailand forum.  How can I get rid of these once again??   I use Safari and Firefox, happens on both.  Any ideas??
