People who have had Covid-19 should still get vaccinated, says Dr Yong

Top Thai virologist at Chulalongkorn University Dr Yong Pooworavan responded to questions about whether people who have had Covid-19 should also get vaccinated, reported Daily News.

 

On his Facebook page he said that the data shows that people who have had two doses of vaccine who then get Covid don't need to get more shots until next year.

 

But people who have had one dose of vaccine or none at all who get infected should have one dose more of vaccine.

 

He recommended that this be Astra Zenaca, Pfizer or Moderna. 

 

Such people could be vaccinated one month after they had the infection.

Immunity is not a single faceted approach of building Antibodies. As simply as it could be worded, immunity is a multi pronged approach of Antibodies, T-Cells and Compliment Proteins. 

 

Vaccines and natural immunity provide varying amounts of Antibodies and T-Cells - depending on the type of vaccine, severity and strain of infection.  When exposed (to virus or vaccine) the body is triggered to produce a varied amount of Antibodies, T-Cells are also produced, each body reacts differently and produces varying amounts of each. 

 

Antibodies against Covid-19 also appear to wane over time, thus if someone was ’naturally' infected last year, they may not have antibodies this year. Equally so, if someone was vaccinated last year, they may not have antibodies this year.

 

Thus: Even if someone has had Covid-19 it is understood that getting vaccinated is advantageous as is getting booster shots for those vaccinated.

Nah, they do know. They are not telling the truth to keep their well cushioned jobs. Science is not independent, it is serving politics and big pharma. That’s why i prefer my naturally acquired antibodies. Not because i believe the vaccine does not work but because i don’t like being told lies. Some people are fine with being kept fools. Especially after they’d been brainwashed to fear.

I'm not a virologist but as I understand it yes the antibodies wane,  that is "normal"  but the T cells "remember" for much longer  so if the virus appears again antibodies are produced  to fight it off

apparently this is what is seen in people infected by the "original"  SARS virus in 2002-2004  they still show T cell response.

An unvaxed Thai friend of mine caught the British variant in Thailand. She spent a week or so in private hospital, no ICU. About two months later she caught the Delta variant. She spent almost 3 weeks in private hospital and 13 days in ICU. We thought she was going to die. Poor health, bad timing, whatever, it was an ugly situation. Just information.

Through time and history it has time after time been confirmed that natural immunity is always stronger than vaccines. This guy of course goes against the grain. Wonder if that actually have to do with his nationality. Seems like it´s some kind of tradition.

In other countries ppl with past infection get vaccinated. Antibodies reduce after a few months.

Is it not the T-Cells which respond to the Antibodies which have locked on to the antigens ?

 

Thus: Are the T-Cells (killer cells) effective without antibodies ?

No, they don't respond to antibodies. And yes, they are very effective without antibodies.

Old people die, get over it.  Getting a jab isn't going to prevent that, as you can get and or transmit the virus after receiving the jab, just like any other virus or infectious disease that the older immune systems can't handle.

 

Subjecting healthy people to boosters every 6 or 12 months is just silly.  Especially after already having had the virus.  It just a money maker for big pharma apparently.  Only after the virus, like every other runs it's course through the world population will it slowly disperse.

 

This virus has only done 1 thing, enlightened people to proper hygiene practices they should have been exercising decades ago.  Maybe grandmas of days pass dying from the common annual flu could have been saved.

 

The silly lockdowns have done nothing but weaken people's immune system.  Fresh air, exercise, sunlight / vit D are all immune system builders.  Shuttering indoors is killing people & economies.   Wake up.

If that were the case, you might have a point. Listing Covid as a comorbidity is not the same as listing it as the cause of death. And that's the way it's being done for a long time now. And of course, the kind of nonsense you cite this to back your case takes no account of excess mortality figures. If anything. as excess mortality figures show, covid is being underreported as cause of death.

There have been credible studies that have shown that people who contracted SARS many years ago

and recovered have immunity to SARSCOV-2.

 

There are memory Tcells that reside in the bone marrow which are activated to combat infections that arise
years later.

 

The human body is an amazing creation.

Interesting why doctors with personal experience treating their patients would lie about many more problems after having a covid mrna vax. What do they have to gain by lying? so far all positives and hospitalised in thailand are told to get vax minimum 3 months after getting clean. And no brand is specified, just any vax.

That's why for travel in thailand you can use hospital record, for example to enter phuket, issued within 3 months.

 

In the wide world those certified with illness can travel, even internationally, up to 180 days.

Fear hampers judgement and it triggers survival mode. Then it starts a neverending runaway from peril to safety, always according to the protocols and guidelines you are told to follow. It is sad in all imaginable ways.
