Daily News reported that three people had been arrested in an online lottery scam.

A press conference attended by trading standards police and lottery office officials announced the arrest of Pholaphol, 37, from Ayutthaya, Pong, 38, from Bangkok and Surasak, 62, from Nonthaburi.

A "Brother" scanner was taken into evidence along with other equipment.

The arrests followed action taken by the police and the lottery office against an online platform called "Phee Noi Lottery Online".

Phee Noi means little ghost.

The scheme involved the scanning of real lottery tickets and netted the gang 15 million baht since June.

Those arrested have been charged with fraud.
