Flying from Bangkok to USA and trying to get all the requirements done.

Seemingly all I need is a negative test 3 days before the flight.
And I only need to do an antigen test not a PCR test?

I'm transferring through Japan but they seem to have no requirements for connecting flights.

For USA on the CDC website it says:

Can I get a rapid test?

Rapid tests are acceptable as long as they are a viral test acceptable under the Order.

Does a self-test meet the conditions of the Order?

International air passengers traveling to the United States can use a self-test (sometimes referred to as home test) that meets the following criteria:

  • The test must be a SARS-CoV-2 viral test (nucleic acid amplification test [NAAT] or antigen test) with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

So it seems like this should be allowed? Has anyone traveled to USA and can confirm that the airlines in Thailand will accept this test?

Following as well. I have a flight next month as well haven't had the chance to call ANA to check up on their rules. Well I had a friend who went from Costa Rica to USA an antigen test was fine. But I think it depends on your airlines and where you transit and their rules. Transit in Japan is it ANA or JAL?

I too may be flyiing ANA out of LAX, because while I prefer EVA out of LAX, EVA flights connect through Taiwan, but Taiwan says it is not allowing transit or transfer flights until January
