Currently, all bars and nightlife are closed countrywide and restaurants are not allowed to sell alcohol

Unless your venue is owned by the police, like Bamboo Beach Pattaya (https://www.facebook.com/BambooBeachPattaya???? you can do whatever you want.

Regardless of who you claim owns it, that appears to be a restaurant and restaurants are allowed to be open.

Sounds like another big party that I am glad I did not attend.

I can imagine the noise of the music alone would have been enough to give me

a big head ache.  I bet most people including the Thais can hardly wait for the big opening on November 1st, err December 1st.

Well would you believe, January 1st.

Soi 12 is not a red light area.

The ref is obviously to the numerous karaoke bars full of young women on the upper floors of Korea town. The women strangely often leave with their customers. after a drinking session......
