Try to imagine a normal Thai political party, trying to do what the unelected PM and his soldiers did in 2014, that is where the point of a gun comes in. Get it now?

No. There wasn't blood in the streets. If there is a gun, it has an orchid in the muzzle.

I knew people of my  "golden" generation who didn't come home from these Northern Hemisphere wars.

These useless American wars!

Problem is farmers don't work for free.

If people can't grow their own food, of have no skills to earn money, then what use are they?

You think worthless people should be given a free life?

Then breed more worthless people?

Pretty soon the world will be full of worthless people, and there'll be nobody left that wants to work.

Interesting point.

As Robotics and AI will produce more and more "worthless" people, what to do with them? Gas chambers?

OR: When will all the "worthless" people say to the 5% that practically "own the world": ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ? How long will it take? What will it take?

I take it that OP' Swissie' is from that very scenic country.    If I am correct I can understand why he has such an insular and fairy tale perspective on life inthe 21st century,

When was the last time Switzerland fired a shot in anger?  Ah yes, legend has it that it was on 13 November 1307 and that fella the Swiss patriot William Tell, who shot an Apple off his sons head.

Yes indeed, we have stopped firing at other people centuries ago as a matter of principle. (self defence excluded). We left the shooting at each other to others nations.

A good concept to avoid wars. Unfortunately, there were no followers.

And Australia followed them into all, just like they fight for Britain in their wars.

Look at who owns the private "armies" with all the guns. Removing weapons from the population is a good first step to disempowering the population, though the US constitution is proving something of an obstacle so far, but they are trying to eliminate/ get round it to disarm the US population. Countries like the UK, Australia and NZ are pretty much there already, IMO.

No money to be made from peace. Weapons are hugely profitable. Millions of $ for a single warplane. The shareholders are happy the world is not at peace.

The poster's username of "swissie".  I'd have thought it pretty obvious.

Ok. I concede to that. They also have more Peacekeeping personnel than the US.

Doesn't seem to be much peace in the world today.

Instigated and inspired by the same old circles.

And yet, still few are able to connected the dots as to who the truer boogieman really is - inciting the world over, for quite some time.
