snoop1130
Downtown Hua Hin, file photo. A key figure from Hua Hin’s tourism sector has called for the town’s planned November 1 reopening to be postponed, due on the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the province. Udom Srimahachota, Honorary Advisor to the Hua Hin and Cha Am chapter of the Thai Hotels Association, said the reopening of Hua Hin should be postponed to December in the interests of public health. Mr Udom, who also owns the Baan Talay Dao Resort, said that local businesses are worried about the recent and sudden rise in infections throughout Prachuap Khiri Khan, which includes the discovery of a number of clusters in Hua Hin. Or businesses less reliant on tourism or with healthy bank accounts that can wait for the little guy to go out of business ?

Popular Post spidermike007
It is likely nearly all of the infections in HH itself, are from visiting Bangkok zombies. And in regard to the province, 100 cases a day from Pranburi? Likely 95% of them are from the 4 completely useless army installations and bases there. Shut them down. We don't need them, and they just suck money from the budget, while offering nothing to the people.

Aside from opening the bars I'm not sure how much more open it could get. I live in the Cicada & Tamarind market area and each night this weekend there were traffic jams in the area. The beaches had more people on them than when I first visited in November 2014. 99% Thai I'd estimate. Friday afternoon I made a rough count at my condo's pool - well over 100 people. Saturday night the restaurants we drove by on the main highway were packed with diners. Many had queues.

Weekend traffic jambs in Cha Amm, as double vaxed Thais head from BK to the beach, this could mean a spread of covid through Hua Hin, as you can still spread the virus even if 2x jabbed???? I would be more worried about that than tourism from overseas coming back.
