The first 43 Thai and foreign passengers arrived at Suvarnabhumi international airport during the early hours today (Monday), the first day Thailand reopens to foreign arrivals. Tight health safety controls were in place with more officials present than arriving passengers.

6 more Thai provinces added to ‘watch list’ due to rising COVID-19 infections

Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has added six more provinces to its “watch list”, in addition to the southern border provinces of Yala, Pattana, Narathiwat and Songkhla, due to concerns over a rising trend in new COVID-19 infections.

Politicians question why only international schools have reopened

Politician from the opposition parties asked the Governor of Bangkok on Monday why most schools that have returned to normal classes are mostly international schools and asked whether more could be done for less well off schools so they can meet the government’s guidelines for reopening.

Nearly 2,500 travellers enter Thailand on first day of full reopening

A total of 2,424 travellers arrived in Thailand yesterday (Monday), the first day Thailand reopened to international arrivals, on 40 international flights. 890 were Thai nationals and 1,534 were foreign travellers, said Permanent Secretary at the Public Health Ministry Kiattibhoom Vongrachit.
