yes "pet" i say that he might have come from a council estate because of his language. c mon, his foul mouth reflects that of a poor person. i very rarely hear people coming from upper class lives spouting off foul abuse,

The most foul mouthed man I've ever met (and I've met a lot) was a minor aristocrat, a product of Eton & the Guards.

What on earth is a minor aristocrat? Perhaps a small earl?

Swearing in itself is no measure of class, but the way one articulates oaths may be. The present participle suitably drawled out by someone who has benefited from a decent education as afforded by Eton is a million miles from the inarticulate moron who punctuates his impoverished vocabulary with obscenity. Add a dash of regional dialect and generally one has the lingua franca of the British untermensch that patronises the type of establishment currently under discussion.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the 'king plain? :o
