I have my second AZ injection on 19th November and am thinking of travelling to Udon Thani for a few days on the 25th.

There are plenty of flights, but I am not certain if the 2 injections will be enough. I think they will be, but would I still need some other test?

If I do need more tests, then I won't bother going.

If the 2 AZ injections are OK to travel, how do I prove I have had them?

I guess I get a document of some sort at the hospital.

One other thing, I actually live in Pattaya and have flown from U-Tapao to Udon Thani in the past. Does anyone know if/when those flights may start again?

Thanks for your help.

Just bumping your thread as I have same intention.

Have had the 2 shots and can show on the app.

Is that's all that's needed.

Same as OP, if anything else required I won't bother.

ThaiSmileAir has a diagram showing that Udon requires vaccination. No alternatives with tests accepted! Quite unique. Your good with "vaccinated" status.

https://www.thaismileair.com/en/newsupdates/news_2992

You should make sure to have the MorProm App installed to show your vaccination certificate/status. Some details involved like getting a 13 digit "ID" to register your data. I don't have all details at hand.

One concern: the short time between 2nd shot and flight might be a problem. Not sure about this. Vaccinated status usually requires 14 day period after last shot.

U-Tapao to Udon? Guessing: not in the foreseeable future. x months if at all.

I am flying to Khon Kaen tomorrow.

I am curious to see how the actual checks are performed.

As written above: vaccinated status on MorProm is all you need.

And for Udon not even an alternative with tests shown.

Good post. Ta.

Haven't been up to Udon since covid. Hope sport bar etc open.

The MorProm app worked well.

After second jab they told me the details would be added online regarding 2nd jab in ~ 24 hours.

I thought "yeah sure..."

Fact is it was so thanks to Thai health care.

Could you write quick report after you travel to KK..

Quick only and nothing new to me except the vaccination check.

Yesterday arrived at Suvarnabhumi by taxi.

Very early almost 2 hours ahead of departure (at 11:20).

Walked in through gate 2 and to row B for checkin at Thaismile Air.

Well staffed with 8 counters as far as I remember.

No long queues. Less than 2 minutes to the desk.

Put passport on desk, opened my MorProm site on the mobile phone.

She was interested in the detailed "Vaccine Covid-19 Certificate" with all the details.

It contains my name in Latin and Thai script and the 13 digit ID from the "pink card" (no passport number). The Latin script misses a letter in the middle name but not question. Also not interested in pink card.

She obviously entered details from the certificate to the terminal.

After another 2 minutes had the boarding card.

(killing time with strolling the airport, still so quiet (I have seen worse but still), even the 7/11 at the ground floor vanished)

Another ID check at the entrance to the domestic area.

I think there were 3 more ID checks (passport) before finally entering the plane.

40 min flight, no service/food/drink (as usual in these times) and handed over a meager snack bag at exit. Mask on at all times (as usual). De-boarding 3 rows at a time after being called.

Khon Kaen partially completed new airport. After the long walk to baggage claim the carousel was already full. 2 minutes and then again show passport before exit.

Passport was scanned/photographed. Thai IDs similar (reading chip?).

Was it the 5th ID check?

And that was it. Daughter picks me up, drive my car home.

No visit from the village headman, health official or whatever.
