Covid-19 numbers in Laos set a new high for the second day.

Laos has verified another record day for Covid-19 cases, with 1,170 new cases and three new deaths reported across the country.

 

Over the last 24 hours, 7,179 tests were completed around the country, with 1,170 new cases verified, according to the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

 

Across the country, there were 1,165 cases of community spread and five imported cases.

New Deaths

 

On Tuesday, a 67-year-old man from Phonhin, Nan District, Luang Prabang Province, died of Covid-19 at the provincial hospital in Luang Prabang. He had kidney problems and high blood pressure, and he hadn't been immunized against Covid-19.

 

On Wednesday, a 59-year-old man from Huayhong, Xaythany District, Vientiane Capital, died in Mittaphap Hospital. He was properly vaccinated against Covid-19 and suffered from arthritis.

 

On Wednesday, a 29-year-old lady from Namong, Xaythany District, Vientiane Capital, died in Mittaphap Hospital. He had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, whereas she had diabetes.
