According to the latest data from the Malaysian Health Ministry, 46 additional people have died as a result of Covid-19.


With this, the total number of people killed by Covid-19 throughout the country has reached 29,091.


According to the website CovidNow, eight people were brought in dead.


With 49 deaths per one million inhabitants, Sarawak had the highest fatality rate.
Perlis came in second with 35 deaths per million people, followed by Kelantan with 33 deaths per million people.

 

The national death rate is now at 19 fatalities per million people.
Nine states had lower averages than the national average.
Sabah (16), Kedah (15), Melaka and Negri Sembilan (14 each), Kuala Lumpur and Pahang (11 each), and Selangor (11 each) are the states (seven).


The only states with no deaths were Labuan and Putrajaya.


According to the CovidNow website, 65.6 percent of those who died had not been vaccinated, 22.3 percent had been partially vaccinated, and 12.1 percent had been fully vaccinated.

 

Over half of the most recent fatalities (54.8%) were those over the age of 60.
In comparison, 44.8 percent of individuals aged 18 to 59 were involved.


Men died in greater numbers than women, accounting for 57.1 percent of all deaths.


Malaysians accounted for 87.1 percent of the overall number of deaths, or 40 of the 46 persons reported killed yesterday.
