I think you should make total and totalled ALL CAPS and repeat them a few more times.  That way people will take you even more seriously.

What, TOTALLY you mean?????

Thai are great with math, aren't they? Unbelievable, Government Spokesman Thanakorn must re-take grade 5-7 math.

30K per month is only a 1% not 10% as reported.

For decades the low standards of Thai education have remained hidden away inside Thailand. But now (with not only the appearance of social media but also the Covid pandemic) the Thai spokespeople are broadcasting their ignorance to the world.

It must be an unbearable loss of face for such a proud people.

Over 90,000 foreign visitors applied for the “Thailand Pass” to enter the country between November 1st and yesterday (Saturday). Of these, 33,788 applications have been approved,

The logic in it has lost me: 90,000 applications and 30% approved right....so how come I am in the first 15% or so, according to their initial statement, and I still have not received a QR code after 6 days waiting patiently, but nervously. Also some posters who wrote to the MFA were lucky enough to get their QR code within 12 hours whereas I have not gotten any reply. Not lucky I guess

When are you due to travel? I have heard from one source that they are busy approving applications which are close to the travel date. If you have applied in advance then this could be the reason. Hope you get it soon.

What I'm wondering is, what if you get your QR code to late?  If you had to cancel the flight you reserved?  Can you still use the code, and book another flight and ASQ hotel?

I believe you would have to apply for another QR code as the QR code is specific for the day you arrive. I could be wrong.

I can only imagine it is quite frantic at the moment and gov statistics world-wide should always be taken with a pinch of salt. From what I can see and have heard, they seem to be doing a good job of ironing out the problems, offering solutions and getting people their QR codes before they fly, albeit in a slightly stressful fashion.

I've given up believing in any numbers/statistics quoted by any government agency or anyone else of relative importance. I never believed the Covid figures, the road deaths figures are a travesty and TAT has been providing b/s figures for so long now it has become a standing joke.

How about a figure from the Government as to how much each minister has made from backhanders and brown envelopes ... that would be far more interesting

I'm not sure about being interesting, more like mind blowing!

All the non stop whiners on here who complain about all the hoops you have to jump through to travel during a pandemic might want to compare what it's like in other parts of Asia. like the VTL travel to Singapore for example.

All the non stop whining on here is ridiculous people crying about having to do a night's "quarantine" pack of sooks. The VTL travel to Singapore and other such countries is almost identical (and more expensive) you might want to compare and contrast what other nations are doing before complaining and if it seems all to hard then maybe consider another destination. Singapore for example......

I know so much better than a junta led faux democracy. At least you know where you stand with the socialists

Not how it appears from a couple of mates.  Travel dates 27th of this month and 1st of next month but both approved already.
