I was diagnosed with a DVT in my left leg and put on 20mg of Rivaroxaban ,i have been taking this medicine for ovet 6 months.
I am not in the country at this time,please could you advice me on my next steps.
Should i go to the hospital and have an ultrasound on my leg.. Should i have a blood test (please tell me what type i would need ) and should i reduce the dose of Rivaroxaban to 10mg a day if the test are negative..

I also have been informed by the NHS  UK app that i need a covid booster this month,please tell me what brand i need to have and at what Ml's

Yes,  go visit a hospital.  There's no way I would change a medicine as serious as a blood thinner from the advice found on an internet forum.

You should certainly go to a hospital and see a vascular specialist and have a repeat US. Then take the specialist's advise re the medication.

 

I am unclear what country you are in at present? If Thailand please indicate where in the country you are.

 

Re COVID booster, what type was your original vaccine and how long ago?

Sorry i am in Pattaya, i was diagnosed with a DVT in the UK.

I was vaccinated with Astrazenika twice, the UK gives an app and its informing me that this month i should book a booster appointment.. Thanks for all replys

You will not be able to get a booster through the Thai public health system as they are only giving them to people whose initial vaccination was with one of the less effective Chinese vaccines.

 

You may be able to purchase a Moderna vaccine at some private hospitals though most booked such purchases months  in advance and it will not be available for that purpose until probably next year.

 

No problem -- in fact recommended - to get an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as booster after having had primary vaccination series with AZ.
