Thailand pass and trying to understand it despite a lot of information

Featured Replies

Hi
There is still a lot of confusion on this with a lot of new and contrasting reports on the last few days and yesterday.
I know it is specifically for all those Thais and spouses and other foreign tourists coming in to Thailand and good to see some managed to come in but in some cases a lot or problems.
What I am asking if those who want to go to the UK on holiday and they have to show that they are at least double jabbed but these are in Thai and can they be translated and by whom.
Also on the return Thailand Pass and there is no expiry date on the registration but noticed a visitor must show have had a 2nd jab 14 days before travelling.
This must mean for completely new travelers to  Thailand and in any case those going on holiday from here would have received their 2nd jab already and still no booster jab.

The Thais need to be registered on Thai and be insured? and the UK husband  has to have cover and normally would have a re- entry permit and what Covit insurance does he need to the end of the current permission to stay by means of retirement.
This will not affect the current permission to stay but what Covit insurance is needed and for what period to the end of the current extension.
Also those who time it right ie come back from holiday from the UK and come back say in February and the extension permission to stay matures March 2022 does taking out insurance for 2 months be enough and also the current permission to stay fine and renewed in February.
Am I reading this right?

Also it is very complex indeed and does Thailand really expect a huge number of tourists when there are so many restrictions in place and possibly go somewhere else.
In addition the ex-pat returning with his/her wife/husband  and only needs the Covit insurance.
Other than that is to travel within Thailand , if even this is allowed and no restrictions.

Thanks all

Did mine for a trip Bkk to Dubai & back next week. A doodle as long as you have the correct documents ready, in jpg format. No problems.

What exactly is needed as so much information and was talking about those going to the UK on holiday and then returning and got the 2 jabs and the 2nd one 14 days before travelling and for new travellers not those who have got the 2 jabs already?

Maybe you should try to clearly formulate your questions, as they are a bit confusing. Yes, you need the 2 jabs to get back, but you can get in without them as well - providing you quarantine for 10 days.

What is needed is EXACTLY what it says on the Registration form.

For older not native English folks these requirements and procedures are too complex.

Just because you understand it does not mean others do and many do not. Sorry
