Thailand Pass, enter for 5 days, leave for a week, and return, possible?

I want to enter on the Thailand Pass, vaccinated from a country on the list. I then want to leave for a week to the US (also on the list) and return to Thailand, on Thailand Pass again. 

 

I can't find any answers on whether this will be allowed since I'm only staying 21 days in my country of residence. In the Thailand Pass rules it does say that if you go to a country on the list for less than 21 days it's ok if you're leaving Thailand, but since I will not have been in Thailand for 21 days, I'm not sure if they'll still accept that. 

 

I tried emailing the local Thai embassy but got no reply at all, hoping some on this board will have some insight.

If you are spending 21 days in a approved country it will be accepted or they might include your stay here in the 21 days.

It you arrived in Thailand from listed country that could be included as well.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for, been in Japan for 18 months (listed country) and USA is also listed, was just worried my 5 day stay in Thailand might somehow break that.
