The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) collected 403,235 krathong from canals, lakes and other waterways in the capital, following the annual Loy Krathong festival on Friday night.

Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang said today (Saturday) that the quantity of krathong collected this year was about 80,000 fewer than last year and 96.46% of them were made with degradable materials, compared to 96.40% last year.

City officials started collecting the floating krathong at about 8pm last night and had completed the task by 5am this morning.

I am sure they did not count them all , just a guess ,......????....Like TAT numbers.

They probably weigh a few wet, and then weigh piles, or count the number per m3 by volume for example... Different way of counting. Still counting though.

Great pity that they can’t vaccinate those in need of a Covid jab in the time it took to collect all those baskets

What on earth are you on about?  What a weird and random post.

Around 750,000 vaccine doses given yesterday BTW.

Much like the Covid case counting. Unreliable when considering who is counting and the motive.

How does that make any sense?
The government has a secret motive to increase the numbers of gratongs collected? ????

Amazing Thailand...

they "say" they collected 403,235 Krathongs across Bangkok, inspected each one to calculate the percentage of degradable ones and could give a total figure Saturday morning.

How long did it take to count the election vote?

Hmmmm
