webfact
The Royal Irrigation Department has spent about 795 million baht since 2017 building more than 100 canal embankments, similar to the one in Chaichana district of the north-eastern province of Yasothon, as part of the government’s policy to use surplus para rubber latex in road building, to support rubber growers suffering from low rubber prices. According to an investigative report on road construction projects, using rubber and asphalt in their surfacing, the Royal Irrigation Department has been allocated about 3.2 billion baht for 400 road construction projects since 2017, including over 100 projects designed to help rubber growers. The cost of the so called para-asphaltic paved roads, or embankments, ranges from one million to 26 million baht per project, depending on the length and other utilities installed, such as solar-cell lighting systems. Phuketshrew
Why not hand these roads over to the boy racers and get them off the streets?
Popular Post GreasyFingers
Watching the Thai news last night about the road that came to public notice. There were 8 others in that area leading nowhere and now this report says there are 100 in other areas with center lines and other markings. Amazing Thailand. 2

RobU
Why not join them up and attach them to the existing road system, or is that not a complicated enough solution
