Covid-19 has been confirmed in 1,209 new cases in Laos, including five deaths.

Today, 1,209 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Laos, with five additional deaths verified.

 

Over the previous 24 hours, the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced that 10,593 tests were performed across the country, with 1,209 new cases verified.

 

There were 1,209 community instances reported across the country.

 

New Deaths

 

On Monday, a 21-year-old detainee at a jail in Bokeo Province's Houayxay District died before reaching hospital. He wasn't immune to Covid-19 since he hadn't been immunized.

 

A 21-year-old lady from Samket Village, Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital, died in Mittaphap Hospital yesterday evening. She had an allergy to Covid-19 and had been completely immunized against it.

 

A 66-year-old man from Hongkha Village in Chanthabouly District, Vientiane Capital, died at Mittaphap Hospital this morning. He had lung cancer and had not received the Covid-19 vaccine.

 

A 58-year-old man from Hongkha Village in Vientiane Capital's Chanthabouly District died at Mittaphap Hospital yesterday. He had high blood pressure and had never been vaccinated against Covid-19.

 

A 94-year-old woman died at 103 Hospital in Nonkeo Village, Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital, yesterday evening. She had been properly immunized against Covid-19 and had suffered from hypertension.
