Laos Confirms 1,138 New Covid-19 Cases

Today, Laos has 1,138 cases of Covid-19 across the nation.


Over the previous 24 hours, 4,254 tests were completed around the nation, with 1,138 new cases verified, according to the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

 

Across the country, there were 1,132 cases of community spread and six imported cases.

 

New Deaths

 

Due to problems concerning Covid-19, a 58-year-old man died in Phonsavath Tai Village, Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital. Diabetes, hypertension, and renal illness plagued him. He wasn't immune to Covid-19 since he hadn't been immunized.

 

Covid-19 claimed the life of a 70-year-old man in Houaykeo Village, Khamkeut District, Bolikhamxay Province. He had diabetes, renal problems, and high blood pressure. He wasn't immune to Covid-19 since he hadn't been immunized.

 

A 68-year-old woman died lately in Namkieng Village, Naxaythong District, Vientiane Capital. She had been diagnosed with hypertension and had not had a Covid-19 vaccine.

 

Total Cases:

 

There are now 12,132 ongoing Covid-19 infections in Laos, with 250 confirmed fatalities and 90,458 total cases.

 

In the meanwhile, 553 individuals were released from hospitals around the country yesterday.

 

Rate of Vaccination

 

Vaccinations for the first dosage have already reached 57.68 percent of the population, while vaccinations for the second dose have reached 44.80 percent.
