is witness needed? Hua Hin immigration, marriage 1 year extension

Featured Replies

Hi

im getting confused with all the rules.

i see that Hua hin immigration require a witness for 1 year marriage extension

but some say you not need it if you have kids?  I have 2 kids.  so do we need a witness?

(also see some peoples say witness id and tabien bahn copy enough, no need to be there in person)

it would be hard for us to get a witness, in person, as just moved to hua hin an has no friends, also the condo is empty we have no neighbors..lol

thank you for any advise or experiance

Just moved to Hua Hin Area as well and have done my TM30 yesterday. Have asked for myself for List of Requirements of Extension of Stay Thai Wife, see attached. As you have 2 Kids you need a witness for the first application only you do at Hua Hin, if you have no Kids it is required every year.

I need to take a witness every year, don't have kids.  Not sure why they/kids would make a difference, unless adults and acting as a witness.

I do my ext in 6 weeks, if I remember, I'll ask if nobody chimes in.  Or you could ask on the local HH forum, not AN associated I believe.

They consider having children as additional proof that the marriage is de jure and de facto.
