The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has decided to cancel the official New Year countdown event and prayer ceremony planned to be held at its Lan Khon Meaung town square and at 50 district offices on the night of December 31st and January 1st due to concerns over the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

Deputy Bangkok Governor Kriangyos Sudlabha said the meeting of the subcommittee of the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) asked the BMA to cancel all its New Year-related activities city-wide.

The cancellation, he added, is in line with the World Health Organisation’s appeal for the cancellation of New Year festive activities worldwide.

When are the normies going to say enough is enough?

You guys don't feel stupid yet? How many hoops have you jumped through over the past 2 years?

This doesn't end until there is mass non compliance.

Will the cancellation virus spread?

Hey, kerb it with your 'saying what you see with your own eyes', and watch more TV and just repeat what they say, okay!

Guess they just finally admitted prayers don't actually do anything, ever. 555

Nothing fails like prayer! :coffee1:

Sense prevails for once.

However I'm sure the masses will exit Bangkok next week as usual and infect the entire country...

Sharing during the holidays is the thing to do ...

... only thing keeping me from ICONSIAM's fireworks is finding a decent pet friendly hotel in walking distance.  My go to jacked up their price 5X over my last stay there.
