For all we know, he could have been hit over the head several Sois down (or up), either side of the road, stumbling on, before finally collapsing near Soi 6. Nah...Just silly pointless speculation seeking to vilify poor, homeless and transgender people.

Stargeezr
Well this old fellow was in a tropical country, walking along beach road, with the ocean in sight, when he collapses and died. At least he was not in Holland suffering their Winter weather. RIP
Bangkokian2019
Until a few hours ago, Amarin TV had a (disgusting) video clip online that showed how they tried to revive the person. Seems they've pulled it now. https://www.amarintv.com/news/detail/114234 The name mentioned indicates that the deceased wasn't a Dutchman. Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Police officers in Pattaya rushed to the scene. When they arrived at the scene, they found a large number of people watching. The body of the foreign tourist Mr. xxxxx xxxxx, 47, was found unconscious on the road. He had a head wound. There were foreign tourists to help him. No mention (anymore) that many didn't want to help because they thought he had covid. Seems that they've pulled that part as well. A copy of the a. m. video clip is still online. Don't watch if you don't want to see distressing scenes. https://siamrath.co.th/n/309010 1

KhunLA
News-blip stating 47 yrs old, so not really an 'old age' issue, not saying youngins can't have coronaries at any age. Sure the autopsy will have some input, if released. What ever, hope it was sudden & painless.

I dont see that happen. You need to do that as well. Well maybe video doesnt show all. He collapsed, so it could be a heart attack. My grandfather in law went the same way, just got out of bed, did some steps and then collapsed and died. I think i wouldnt mind going like this, its quick. Way better then a hospital bed with some kind of disease wearing you out. Also already saw on tv in 2 football games, players having heart arrest(attack), but already known with their condition and having a pacemaker. So it kicks in to shock your heart and bring it back to working, at least it did then.

CPR is useless without compressions and rescue breaths to put air into the lungs. Correct ratio is 30 compressions and 2 rescue breaths. Continue until paramedics arrive or the victim starts breathing again, in which case put into recovery position and monitor pulse. The rescuers surely would have had a first aid kit with barriers for applying rescue breaths; a mask and a puffer bag are the usual ones, means you do not have to contact the victim directly, extremely handy when there is a lot of blood on the victim. The emergency responders should have also had and used an AED as well as CPR to try and revive the victim. balo
When you get in a situation like this you need to be at the right place at the right time. Glen Hoddle survived a cardiac arrest because he went to the BT studio on his birthday and did not stay at home with his family.

Mr Meeseeks
Often if you are a designated first aider or first responder other people will get in the way and try to interfere. Untrained persons and do-gooders are an additional danger to an already tense and difficult situation. Twice I have come to the aid of someone in Thailand and on both occasions local bumpkins or friends of the victim have interfered and on one of the occasions the victim's friend seemed to think I was trying to take something out of his pockets lol. If he had a clue he would have seen on my wrist a watch worth over 1.2m thb. That incident was not serious, just a guy passed out and drunk but the other was a cardiac arrest which the victim would most certainly have died without my intervention. Right place, right time I guess. Normally, if the victim isn't breathing you have three to four minutes to revive them or it's lights out as the brain will die if starved of oxygen.
