Toyota Vigo 4x4

Featured Replies

I've addressed this issue on the forum before, but never received a reply.  I purchased a Vigo double cab 4x4 White Exclusive model four months ago, but just received my English version Owners Manual.  I looked it up, but could not find any information to confirm (yes or no) as to

whether my

Vigo has a limited slip rear differential, could anyone confirm one way or the other?

Also, I assume that the front differential is not limited slip as it usually isn't installed in the front on most 4x4 systems.  Is this a correct assumption?

My last 4X4 Toyota Tiger had a LSD for the rear as standard. I don't know of any make that have the LSD on the front axle.

If you crawl under the back of your Vigo and look at the diff you will see a sticker on it saying....LSD and how you need to use the right oil.

Vigo has LSD on rear.

Thanks all. I was sure hoping that my Vigo had a Limited Slip Differential installed. A Limited Slip Differential really enhances off-road capability in my opinion. I've owned 4x4's in the past that didn't offer it.

Almost all the Thai 4wds only have LSD on the rear as standard. Ford were offering a LOCKING diff on the rear.
